This quilt and pillow were commissioned by the mother of a rider who said that the cherished ribbons were faded from the beautiful Hawaiian sunshine. So although ribbons may be old and faded, you can see that they still make wonderful heirlooms!

Photos can also be included in the design.

Each ribbon unit is supported with a foundation fabric to add stability to your lasting heirloom before the backing and binding are added.

Your quilt is backed and bound in blue bridal satin. A 4-inch pocket is sewn onto the back (which is also made of the blue satin) which allows it to be hung as soon as it arrives.

Each quilt is delivered with a custom designed embroidered applique with the owner's name, horse's name, and year of the quilt's creation. An additional label can be made with a gift giver's name and small message.

Using several different decorative stitches, each ribbon edge is sewn through the foundation fabric. These golden stitches add embellishment as well as stabilizaton to your heirloom quilt.
